In 2000, my son got married {now divorced} we had the reception in blyth, northumberland, in a hotel called Ridley Park hotel. Though it has changed since that day l thought l look at the picture again, it had all tudor look to it in 2000, with white and black beams decorated outside. The new website look shows the change in eight years
Soon as l seen it l thought this place is haunted..
Like l said l was going to enjoy the wedding the best l can.
My mother in law had made it to the wedding it was a long journey for her at the age of nearly 90 yrs old plus few stitches in her head..
When l went to bed, l was half and half a sleep, l heared a man complaining that the ladies diddled (robbed) him out of money,I felt he was standing by the bed.
l felt sorry for him and told him there was a better place for him, l blessed him..
As I was tired out I never heard any noise for at the ,next morning at breakfast, my sister in law said that her mum had problems in the night they swapped rooms, with her niece my mother in law who shared the next door room, told us she had been awaken up by two ladies, who had stolen her purse. About four in the morning maybe similar time the gentleman was talking to me about it...
It was strange because she did not like the room when she first entered it, as there was a man on the bed. Maybe she had a glimpse of the man.. We assured her no man was in the room.
I think the history of the place though unconfirmed as yet. A landlord, or guest had been robbed, and something happened he could not forget it.. I told my helpers l was off duty before l came to the hotel. l hope l assured that the man is now in spirit world, beyond all worries of having no money through these ladies.. I have asked couple of the staff they said the hotel was haunted, but of a little girl.. The man spoke in a local voice.. I am hoping to do some research for answers or if any information can be obtained..
Does anyone know of the place and the information.
God bless lindann xxx
